Normal discharge

Clear or white discharge without strong odour, itching or pain can be normal and may change around ovulation, pregnancy or hormonal transitions.

Changes to discuss

  • Strong or unpleasant odour
  • Yellow, green, grey or blood-stained discharge
  • Itching, burning or soreness
  • Pain while urinating
  • Pelvic pain or fever

Avoid repeated self-treatment

Different conditions can look similar. A clinical assessment helps identify the likely cause and avoid treatment that may not be appropriate.
