Pregnancy & maternity care

Every pregnancy is different. Our care focuses on regular monitoring, timely identification of concerns and individualized support through pregnancy, delivery and after birth.

Obstetric care at Kalyani Hospital covers the full pregnancy journey — from planning and early pregnancy through antenatal visits, delivery and the postnatal period.

Delivery decisions are made together with you, based on clinical assessment at the time. We do not promise a particular mode of delivery in advance; instead we explain what is being observed and why a recommendation is being made.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

When should I book my first antenatal visit?

As early as possible after a positive pregnancy test. An early visit allows confirmation of the pregnancy, a baseline health review and planning of the antenatal schedule.

How often are antenatal visits?

The schedule depends on the stage of pregnancy and your individual assessment. Visits usually become more frequent in the third trimester.

Can I have a normal delivery?

Mode of delivery depends on clinical factors assessed during pregnancy and labour. No outcome can be guaranteed in advance, and the reasoning behind any recommendation will be explained to you.
